Production Update – September 11, 2014

Autumn is in the air. It is a busy harvest season for Diana, collecting seeds, bringing in food from the garden to preserve for winter and preparing trees in her arboretum for the cold weather ahead.

Greyling the Cat is extremely concerned that the White Cherry Tree sapling gets planted properly.

Director Jeff McKay was out to visit Diana recently. During this visit they also shot some footage that will be used in an app that is being created by Diana, our friends at Tactica Interactive and the 10 Trees team. This tool will help you to determine which native tree is most suitable to plant in your area and exactly how to do it. There will be videos and commentary throughout from Diana as well as photos to help identify trees and instructions on how to collect your own seeds! More details about this exciting part of our project as they develop, so stay tuned.

The tree planting app, currently in development will teach you how to collect your own tree seeds.

Tree Canada, an organization Diana supports, recently came to visit Diana and her husband Chris, at their home for a tour of the exotic and interesting trees in her arboretum.  Tree Canada has worked for more than twenty years to encourage communities, governments, corporations, and individuals to pursue a greener and healthier living environment for Canadians.
